Client Steven Kelly has led a fascinating life and is looking for more adventures every day. He was a commando in the Royal Artillery for over 20 years, deployed to Afghanistan, and travelled the world training and instructing in Arctic, desert, mountain and jungle locations.
Now Steven is well-known as a TV survivalist, having starred twice in hit US reality show Naked and Afraid on Discovery. In 2024, Series 17, he lasted the full 21 days in the Colombian jungle hunting lizards and keeping up the spirits of his fellow camper, who said he was the best partner she could have hoped for. In Naked and Afraid: Apocalypse, 2025, Steven survived to the finale of 35 days in South Africa, threatened by lions, crocodiles, black mamba snakes and 110 degree weather, while somehow remaining cheerful in the face of starvation and hellish adversity.
In 2026 Steven featured with wife Jenny on Bear Grylls' new BBC programme Wild Reckoning, the couple debating their future plans as they undertook tough challenges in the Welsh wilderness. The couple also starred and succeeded in E4's Naked Alone and Racing to Get Home in 2023.
On top of his TV career, Steven has founded South West Survival, a bushcraft school based in Devon, where he brings his exceptional field knowledge to everyone from schoolchildren to company executives. He also runs The Survival Debrief podcast, interviewing fellow adventurers, a YouTube channel, and a very popular TikTok with over 300k followers!
MISS GREAT BRITAIN BEAUTY PAGEANT
Charlotte Ellis Public Relations represented Miss GB, the oldest beauty pageant in the UK, headed by TV personality Liz Fuller, herself a former Miss GB beauty queen. Together, they re-created the glamorous contest, famously staged at English seaside resorts in the 1940s and 50s. The above picture shows the smiling contestants happily posing in their swimming suits on the beach at Weston Super Mare in weather of -3C ! That photo went around the globe the next day.
Liz Fuller revolutionised the beauty pageant by allowing divorcees and single mothers to enter the contest for the first time. She also banned the bikini parade and raised the qualifying age to 29.
She successfully argued against a feminist academic on BBC Radio Oxford that beauty pageants and feminism can happily co-exist.

After winning the Miss GB crown in 1997, Liz Fuller launched a career in TV, hosting the popular Quiz Call show on Channel Five for four years, then buying the franchise of the Miss Great Britain pageant. Charlotte Ellis Public Relations represented Liz during those years, until she left for the USA to pursue her career in Hollywood, where she succeeded brilliantly as CEO of talent management company ST8RM.
Charlotte secured many modelling jobs for Liz. She was featured In a big advertising campaign on London buses as the face of the perfume Dream de Rachel Elbaz.
