literary agency

We specialise in a small number of exclusive non-fiction book projects

Charlotte prides herself on being a visionary literary agent who often spots the potential in a great story before it has even been written. She then encourages the individuals to turn their unique recollections into captivating memoirs.

Combining her PR expertise with her event planning talents, Charlotte, with her team, also organises book
launches with a very special touch, often referred to by enthusiastic guests as the best book launch they have ever been to!

HOLLYWOOD HEAT by Steve Rowland

As soon as Charlotte met Steve Rowland, a former Hollywood producer and actor, who'd raced cars with the legendary actor James Dean, rode dirt bikes with Steve McQueen, chased girls with Elvis Presley, got drunk with Robert Mitchum and dated Natalie Wood, she knew there was a book waiting to be written.

Hollywood Heat was born a year later - published by the Book Guild.

PRINCESS OLGA - A WILD AND BAREFOOT ROMANOV
  by HH Princess Olga Romanoff

When Charlotte first visited Provender House, Princess Olga's historic residence, and       discovered a hidden treasure trove of Romanov family memorabilia, she instantly knew   the story of the house and of its illustrious residents had to be recorded for posterity.
  •  The memoirs of Princess Olga, great-niece of the last tsar of Russia, Nicholas II, is an       immensely readable and humorous book. It recounts the Princess's own life, growing up in England, and stories passed down by her Romanov father, many of which remained untold until now.

Charlotte not only secured a deal with independent publisher Shepheard-Walwyn, she   also generated a lot of media coverage for the book and its author, both in the British   and international press.

The agency organised a Russian themed book launch, with doorman dressed as a   cossack, traditionally  entrusted with protecting the Russian Imperial family.

"I would like to thank Charlotte Ellis, my agent, without whose vision and encouragement this book wouldn't have been written," says the Princess in the acknowledgments to her book.

book launch for the d'evil diaries

The agency organised the launch for children's book The D'Evil Diaries by author and artist Tatum Flynn, published by Hachette.

As the humorous story is set in Hell, with the twelve-year-old protagonist proving a disappointment to his father Lucifer for his lack of wickedness,  the theme for the evening was devilish. The doorman was dressed as Lucifer and dress code was black and red to evoke the hellish flames. Great fun was had by all.
